An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Therapy Assistant to join a dedicated team of professionals for a 20 beds nursing home specialised in brain injury rehabilitation. We are seeking an individual with a minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience to provide essential support in our rehabilitation-focused care environment.
About the Role:
As a Therapy Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting our residents on their journey to improved health and well-being. Working in collaboration with Occupational Therapists, you will contribute to the implementation of rehabilitation programs, fostering independence and promoting a positive living experience for our residents.
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience as a Therapy Assistant
- Previous experience in a rehabilitation or care setting (Preferred)
- Recognised qualification in therapy assistance or related field.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Empathy and a passion for improving the lives of individuals in a rehabilitation setting.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Occupational Therapists to support the implementation of rehabilitation programs.
- Assist residents in therapeutic activities, monitoring progress, and providing feedback.
- Work closely with the therapy team to ensure effective care delivery.
- Contribute to maintaining a positive and supportive living environment for residents.
- Implement treatment plans and interventions under the supervision of an occupational therapist.
- Monitor and document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for residents.
