Registered Nurse – PL3

We have an exciting vacancy for a Registered Nurse to join the team of an exceptional home, specialised in nursing, respite, end of life, dementia, and residential care services. We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team and provide high standards of care to our valued residents.

The Home is located in the heart of Plymouth with stunning landscape surroundings, accommodating up to 60 residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a caring and supportive service to all types of residents, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Positively support the Matron and Deputy Matron in leading and guiding the care staff within Torr Home.
  • Maintain and update your nursing skills through continuous professional development, attending training as required to ensure the highest standard of care.
  • Manage the service adhering to legislative requirements and relevant regulations, and following accepted best practices.
  • Adhere to established processes and procedures to ensure the smooth running of the unit.
  • Maintain effective communication with the team under your supervision, residents, visitors, and other healthcare professionals.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse qualification and valid NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council) registration.
  • Previous experience in a nursing role, preferably in dementia care, will be highly regarded.
  • Ability to think on your feet, making informed decisions to deliver excellent care.
  • A strong work ethic and dedication to providing the highest standard of care to our residents.
  • Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach.
